On October 19th Collier County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the canal at the west end of Lancewood Way. The body of a female was found wrapped in a blanket in the canal. The victim was identified through fingerprints as Elizabeth Carolina Leyba (aka: Angela Maria Cardenas). Her Florida driver license listed an address in Miami, FL, detectives determined she moved from there several years ago.
