Skeletal remains were found by surveyors while clearing a property line on 13th Ave SW off Collier Blvd.
Clothing found on skeletal remains – size small Sears knit long sleeve button up collared shirt, blue jean type trousers, jockey type boxers, leather belt with plain buckle, socks (possibly green), no shoes.
Other articles found - Gold chain with gold cross. Gold chain with good luck charm.
The victim had well healed fractures of the nasal bones. He was identified due to DNA and forensic genetic genealogy in April 2024. Information obtained through investigation indicates the victim was last thought to be on the East Coast of Florida in 1976.
